This category contains articles related to the tcpdump network packet sniffer. If you don't already know it, see their website or the Wikipedia article on tcpdump.
I use tcpdump very often, both for looking at live network traffic, and for monitoring the pflog interfaces that the pf firewall creates. In my opinion, tcpdump can do everything a command line based packet sniffer should be able to do.
